Victory Air Show

The Victory Show, the largest WWII re-enactment weekend of its kind in the
UK, takes place from Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th September 2022

The event which takes place at Foxlands Farm, a privately run family farm, in the village of Cosby,
Leicestershire will attract in circa 15k visitors over the weekend. The farmland is transformed to
recreate what life was like during the war years with trenches and heavy armour.

The organisers
expect several heavy armoured tanks, halftracks and up to 300 military vehicles to be attendance.

The Victory Show has been an annual event since 2005 which replicates the 1940’s war years. It runs
for 3 days and is an event not to be missed!

The Victory Show takes place at Foxlands Farm, Cosby, Leicestershire and offers something for
everybody, young and old. Come along and see the sights of WWII. See the camps the soldiers lived
in, the food that they ate, the conditions they lived in, the uniforms that they wore and life in the
home front.

The event is intended to re-create the 1940’s experience. In particular, the Show wishes to
commemorate the courage, hardships and endurance of our parents, grandparents and even great grandparents
during WWII. If it was not for their determination and bravery, we would not be able to
have such a fun event as a celebration of all the endured for us.

The Schools Educational Day (this year on Friday 2nd September) attracts hundreds of school children
and their teachers for an educational visit like no other. We encourage the school groups to dress in
period costume and talk to veterans and the many re-enactors to develop their knowledge and help
to experience a little glimpse of what life was like in the 1940’s.

Over the weekend, visitors can view one of the largest displays of period vehicles including, artillery
and soft skinned vehicles, some of which participate in the re-enactment battles. Also included will
be individual WWII displays involving a huge gathering of Armour & Vintage Farming, demonstrating
the lives that people led 75+ years ago.

Trade stalls selling a wide range of militaria, uniforms, 1940’s collectables and vehicle spares will be
on hand for that important purchase.

One of the many attractions is the extensive air display that runs throughout the weekend, with
wartime aircraft such as the Spitfire, Dakota DC-3 and P-51 Mustang, enhancing the static displays and
other aircraft both in the air and on the ground.

The Victory Show makes a great day out for all the family to enjoy.
